I always wanted to have a job in which I could help others. When I began learning about the human body, 健康, and disease I realized 健康care was the right fit for me. I learned about the PA profession and it was the perfect role for me in the 健康care field. As soon as I began my clinical rotations in my second year of PA school, I knew I had made the right decision. Educating patients about their 健康 was always my favorite part of my encounters which lead to my transition to PA education.
Student-Centered Teaching
I really enjoy learning from our students. They are very engaged in the courses and often share perspectives on subjects that add to the educational experience. I also really enjoy working with the PA faculty and staff to ensure that the PA students have the best possible PA education and are well prepared for clinical practice. In particular, I like diving into the standards set forth for PA education.
The Mount Union Difference
Mount Union works hard to focus on each individual student and provide educational opportunities that will help them to be successful. I feel this mirrors the PA program's focus on teaching patient centered care where the individual patient is the focus to obtain the best possible outcome. Mount Union is a tight-knit community and this has extended into the PA program. The faculty and staff work very well together with the common goal of providing the students with the best education possible. We also have great opportunities to provide service to underserved communities.
